Except that the rub with @font-face is that it potentially provides a direct path to the entire font file, which would constitute "distribution" of it. Potentially bad (very bad). EOT works similarly but honors flags, etc. so that the font can't be…
So according to http://www.fonts.com/Legal/MI-EULA.htm we can't use the licensed font we bought for commercial use. But it looks like anything else is fair game, including @font-face.
PS. I hate legalese.
